Let me tell you about my journey, how the name Purple Orchid Soapery came about and my products.....My soaping journey began only 12 months ago right after I tried some handmade soap for the first time. I started experimenting by making small batches in our laundry, located in beautiful Cooktown, Far North Queensland. 

Soap making gave me an oppotunity to let my creative juices flow and keeps me busy while I only working part-time. Initially I made soap just for our home, but it's safe to say, it wasn't long before the addiction set in. Being very well acquainted with the local markets, it wasn't long before added soap to my stall to share my creations with the community. I am still learning as much as I can to ensure each batch is better than the last. I have tried a lot of ingredients and few techniques and made a lot of mistakes. Today, I am excited to share this adventure with you all.

Recently I came up with the name for my little business. I have combined three of my favourite things. First is obviously my favourite colour purple, anyone that knows me works this out pretty quickly. Second is inspired by one of my favourite flowers, Orchids. There are so many unique species but my favourite would be 'Purple Delight'. All of my soaps are just as unique as our orchids. 

Many of my soaps are made of only the highest quality ingredients. My soap contains only natural butters and oils like olive, coconut, responsibly sourced palm, castor, rice bran, cocoa butter, mango butter and my favourite, shea butter!

Today I pride myself on making soaps that are affordable and luxurious, that nourish the skin and pamper you every day. My soaps are artisan, so no two bars are the same!
